The overview: what you own and what it is worth, at a glance.

Ready for the day you hope never comes

Most collections live in memory and a stack of longboxes. That works right up until an insurance claim, a move, or the day someone else has to make sense of what you built. A ledger means nobody is guessing.

Insurance claims

After a fire, a flood, or a break-in, an adjuster wants specifics: what you had, its condition, and what it was worth. Photos, grades, cert numbers, purchase records, and value history are all in one place.

The estate handoff

Comics are easy to undervalue when someone who never collected has to sort them. Your ledger shows your family exactly what is there and what you believed it was worth.

The one-click PDF

Build a clean, printable inventory for the whole collection or a single box: thumbnails, grades, cert numbers, cost basis, and current values.

This is what your adjuster gets. Grades, cert numbers, photos, cost basis, and values, ready to hand over. Values are owner estimates, and the report says so.

And genuinely useful every week

The worst-day file only stays current because the everyday tools are worth opening. This is the part you will actually use at the shop, at the con, and on the couch.

The store check

Standing at the back-issue bin trying to remember if you own it? Search your collection from your phone and get the answer in seconds, including which box it lives in.

Barcode scan

Point your camera at the barcode and get a straight answer: you own it, it is on your wishlist, or it is new to you. Add it or wishlist it on the spot.

Photo identification

Snap the cover or the slab label. Longbox Ledger reads it, finds the issue in the catalog, and fills in the add form for you to review. You confirm every match before anything is saved.

The wishlist

Your hunt list with target grade and max price. When you finally find it, one tap converts it into the collection with the purchase details ready to fill.

Longbox locations

Short box 3, the display shelf, the safe deposit box: every copy records where it physically lives, so you can find it again.

Slabs, signatures, and values

Grading company, grade, label type, and cert number with a link to the grader's public lookup where the company offers one. Witnessed signatures. Cost basis and a value history chart per copy.

Questions, answered straight

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. Registering starts a 30 day trial of everything. You only enter payment details if you decide to subscribe.

What happens when my trial ends?

Your account goes read-only. Everything you entered is still there to view and export, and subscribing picks up right where you left off. Nothing is deleted.

Can anyone else see my collection?

No. There is no sharing, no public pages, and no way for another user to view your records. Collection photos are served only to your logged-in account.

Where do the values come from?

You enter them. Longbox Ledger tracks your estimates over time, charts them, and combines them with what you paid to show cost basis and paper gains. They are owner estimates, not appraisals.

How does photo identification work?

You photograph a cover or a slab label. The scanner reads it, suggests matching issues from the catalog, and pre-fills the add form. You review and confirm before anything is saved. Accounts include 20 photo scans a month at no extra cost.

Can I get my data out?

Yes, always. A full export of your books, copies, values, wishlist, and photos is available on every account, free, including read-only ones. Deleting your account permanently removes everything.

Is there a phone app?

Longbox Ledger is a website built phone-first, and you can pin it to your home screen like an app. The store check, barcode scan, and photo identification are all designed for the phone in your pocket.

Your longboxes know what is inside them. Time you did too.
